"Growing Greatness" is the theme that simply expresses who the Villa Montessori Community is.  It is not just a catchy phrase or cliche but rather a serious commitment on the part of our parents and the school to our students and to the community to create an environment that supports each child in the development of his/her full potential. The family and school work together to help children grow in the dimensions of human greatness.

The rich Montessori curriculum offers many challenges at every level. A student proceeds at his or her pace and is not limited by the operational level of other students who happen to be the same age range. Our Montessori curriculum has been directly aligned with the Arizona State Standards so that each student can meet and exceed the expectations of the State.  Our focus is to help the individual child to be the best he can be by mastering skills, increasing his knowledge base, reaching out and relating well to others, meeting physical challenges and milestones, expanding global awareness, and incorporating human virtues into his/her daily life.

Family and school work closely together to help children grow in three specific dimensions of human greatness: identity, interaction, and inquiry.  These concepts have been developed to state explicitly what the responsibility of each is in this endeavor: the school community's role, the teacher's role, the parents' role, and even the student's role in meeting this challenge of growing greatness.
