Information Night for Parents of Kindergarteners Entering the First Grade!

When: Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Time:   6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Where: Room 112 on the Elementary Campus

What will be covered:

The Montessori philosophy for this age group

• Curriculum and materials
• Daily Schedule
• Recordkeeping
• Homework
• What to expect in the transition to first grade and how you can help support your child
• Fostering a sense of community
• The placement process

This event will be held in person and will not be recorded. Parents will be moving across the campus to tour the other classrooms. This in-person format does not lend itself well to a video format.  We ask that you please try to have at least one parent/guardian at the event. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is that you attend! You will be provided with valuable information that will never be presented in the same way again…and… you will get to meet the Elementary I teachers and tour their classrooms.

We ask that you leave your wonderful children at home; this evening is for "grown-ups" only. The students will have their own opportunity to visit later in the school year during Preview Day.
