Much like at most public schools, we want to create a single point of entry on both the primary and elementary campuses to better control access into the properties. The plan is to routinely lock all of the perimeter gates on both campuses around 8:30 a.m. each morning, starting MARCH 5TH. Specific gates on each campus will be outfitted with keypad locks so that we can allow access to those that need it during the school day while other gates will remain locked until dismissal/pick up time.
We understand that there will be a learning curve – and perhaps some frustration – adapting to this new plan. I’m sure every one of us would agree that the added security it provides our students and staff is well worth some potential inconvenience.
