Ruby Bridges was a courageous 6-year-old who was the first African American to attend an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. On Thursday, November 14, 2024, we will meet before school at Los Olivos Park in front of the Devonshire Senior Center and walk north on 28th Street to the school. We encourage everyone to wear purple, bring signs/posters, and join us in honoring Ruby’s legacy.
