  • Maintain the belief that every child can learn
  • Help a child with the question "Who am I?" by providing a variety of experiences and opportunities to find what he/she is good at
  • Help teach and learn compassion, love, respect, empathy, communication, responsible citizenship
  • Be a model for learning; to recognize, make allowances for and facilitate the child in his learning
  • Be a guide and companion and allow children to learn on their own as much as possible
  • Have high expectations for myself, students, and other staff
  • Prepare and maintain a learning environment which includes access and invitation, freedom, and order
  • To provide the proper environment of peace, beauty, order, simplicity, joy, and love
  • Hold at least two parent-teacher conferences each year and maintain open lines of communication with parents and students throughout the year
  • Respectfully and accurately inform parents of their child's progress
  • Maintain and foster high standards of academic achievement and positive behavior
  • Act as a model to resolve conflict peacefully and to help children to learn to do the same
  • Recognize that students are accountable for every assignment, including homework
  • Give loving and corrective feedback to students
  • Document on-going assessment of each child's academic progress
  • Incorporate teaching strategies that support and facilitate the unique and total growth of each individual
