Online Community Resources

As we shift toward online learning and staying home, this page will be a gathering place for FREE community resources to help you and your child continue learning at home. We will continue to update this list as we receive additional information and resources to share. If you would like to add something to this page, please email Barbi Smith (bsmith@villamontessori.com).

Growing Stronger Together:
FREE RESOURCES FROM CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE

Conscious Discipline has released a valuable collection of free online resources to help you and your loved ones manage big feelings during these intense times. Managing our emotions allows us to strengthen the bonds of connection within and between families. These bonds buffer us from stress, upset and conflict so a felt sense of safety can remain as a consistent thread of hope.

Montessori teacher Angela Ma (Follow the Child Montessori, Raleigh, NC) has written a lovely picture book for you to share with your children. Ms. Ma offers a simple yet elegant explanation (with charming illustrations) of why so many of us are home-bound during this pandemic. She has made it free for anyone to download.
