Following are some recommendations from the Photographer to parents:

Clothing: For best results, we recommend solid colors and prints in medium to dark tones. Please avoid solid white and neon colors. Neon colors are highly reflective and do not photograph well. Subjects photographed wearing neon colors will have the neon color reflected under their chin and the lower sides of their faces.

Backgrounds: For Fall 2017, background colors rich in blues, white splashes, and grays blend in a bold pattern. All colors except neons will photograph beautifully.

Hair: Keep bows, ribbons, and headbands small. Avoid fresh haircuts or new hairstyles. DO wash, curl, and prepare your child's hair for this special day. We will do our best to neaten a hairstyle, but we will not change a hair-do. We always use sterile combs if we need to comb hair.

Before Picture Day: prepare your younger children about the picture day procedure so they know what to expect. It is best not to coach a young child to smile, rather let the photographer evoke a pleasant expression. The more comfortable the child is with the process, the more natural the resulting smile.

On Picture Day: With our exclusive School Pics™ proof program, there is no money required on picture day. Proofs or portrait selections will be sent later, and you can make your portrait selection at home.

After Picture Day: Be sure to return your portrait order by the due date on the proof card. Your school's orders will be submitted to the lab together as one batch. Orders received after the due date will be processed after finished packages are delivered to the school.
